Dunk has multiple entendres! ;) My brother, who was a better athlete than me, can dunk in basketball. The main thrust of the song is that life and our temporal dalliances with excellence are finite and “fragile, fragile, fragile fragile.” So we should “Dunk that while you still can….”

The first half of the song is “House/Techno.” There is a momentum towards ascension of peak harmony— but then always a retreat from rhythmic prominence back from the initial run…But the second half of the tune is a barrage of “lego block assemblance” of electric guitar power chords that fearlessly never retreat from harmonic continuum. These blockbuster chords juxtapose the docile lyrics, which repeat “It’s fragile, it’s fragile, it’s fragile, it’s fragile!…” Wouldn’t it be great if we could Dunk with impugnity whenever consensually feasible—or rather, pragmatic?! “Dunk that while you still can!” is an admonition to grapple the life chi’s bull by the horns and not squander time when one still could be dunking! :)

Ironically, the second half of the song is escalating Glam Rock with a Gain effect. The first half of techno/house never quite alludes to blasting off onto the uncompromised and unpromised frontiers of plenty—that never shrink into de-escalation modality! TAKE ME OFF THIS UNHOLY REGIME OF SAPHORIS, REYLAR, AND kindly LET MY UNADULTERATED BRILLIANCE SHINE A LITTLE BRIGHTER, like the Shamas candle of Hannukah! Meaningfully, this song reminds me of my vastly untapped potential as a recently prolific artist, majoratively from the last decade! This hipster is undaunted…if still unduly hindered….Still, one of the greatest songs of the album! :)
