Tikun Olam means to “repair the world.” This is a Jewish responsibility according to the Torah. I wrote this tune utilizing Ableton Lite software—not GarageBand nor Logic Pro…Raucous and rivetingly “thick” drum beat…”Please Rise For Jimmy” electric guitars and an electric bass that sporadically restores order. The verses, both music and words—enliven the song most: “The snow comes down hard, on chill-frazzled beanies!…The ice melts towards a torrential swallowing!….(Chorus: I want to repair the world in a small way!….Clusters of…” I believe that Tikun Olam is not merely exclusive to a Jewish obligation—although it is very much inclusive to the tribe…We all must do our respective parts to repair the world…Snappy pop verses that shift to rock chorus….
